Honduras, Patrocinio Sanchez

This single-origin is roasted medium bringing out notes of cocoa and fruit. 

The beans come from a family-run micro-farm owned by Patrocinio Sanchez in Las Moras, a small area in the Comayagua Mountains in Honduras, one of the most productive coffee producing areas in the country. Patrocinio has lived on the 3.5-acre farm his whole life, 40 years. He inherited the land from his father when he was 24 and has farmed it ever since. This coffee is processed using the washed process and is certified organic. We were lucky enough to buy Patrocinio's entire lot for the year and are so excited for you to try it!

This coffee was imported by Farmer to Farmer, a small Wisconsin-based non-profit that works directly with family coffee farmers in Honduras and Guatemala, buying their organic coffee directly for an above-fair trade price. The profits from the coffee sales go back to the farmers to help support various projects including school scholarships for students.
